GRP is a combination of polyester resins and fiberglass. Thanks to the properties of the resin, the GRP is a compound (composite) resistant to chemicals, marine environments, the passage of time and it is adequate for contact with food products, drinking water, etc. Depending on the intended use of the equipment, TADIPOL will use the most suitable materials, such as vinylester, bisphenolic, isophthalic or orthophthalic resins, which will be combined with ERC type fibers and with chemical or E type products to obtain the necessary characteristics for each application.
Manufacture of the cylinders containing the tanks. It is based on winding fiberglass yarns, impregnated with resin, under tension and on a cylindrical mold.
Manufacture of tank bottoms and covers. It uses a "pneumatic gun" to project fiberglass yarns and thermosetting resin yarns on an open mold.
Manufacture of pieces and joints for the different parts of the equipment. Fiberglass fabrics are manually placed and then impregnated with resin applied with brushes and rollers.
Automated and continuous production process of GRP profiles, which allows any type of longitudinal profile with a good surface finish.
The most important characteristics of the GRP/FRP composite are mainly its high chemical resistance, high mechanical strength, lightness, temperature resistance, low electrical and thermal conductivity, and ease to create complex shapes. These properties give the material great advantages over traditional materials such as steel, for example high resistance to chemical corrosion, abrasion or oxidation, and reduced maintenance costs, in addition, an increased life cycle in relation to equipment made of traditional materials.
A reference company in the manufacture of storage tanks, chemical process equipment, covers and structures of Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP).
